Baboons Courting

A pair of baboons (Papio cynocephalus ursinus) going through the nuptials process, or perhaps just another dirty old man sitting on a mound watching the girls go by. Probably the latter, the female here is probably in lactation. Baboon troops are described as being oligarchial, with several dominant males. Females of the species tent to groom those that they favour more as mates, hence the better groomed the male the more dominant he becomes.
