Baboon Roosting
This chacma baboon (Papio cynocephalus ursinus)was caught settling into the roost for the night, just after sunset. The view for this primate was the magnificent stretch across the Zambezi River flood plain at the Zambian escarpment, with its veldt fires burning, issuing its hazy smoke which reddened the sky. A grainy, hand held shot… at best a silhouetted image.
